Check before you swim!
Midland is home to three public beaches. Every summer between June and September, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) collects water samples from public beaches within Simcoe and Muskoka.
To help protect your health, please see the list of designated beaches included in the sampling program and their status below. If you suspect a blue-green algae bloom, contact the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP). Incidents can be reported online or by phone. Learn more here.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will test the water weekly. Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will post the swim advisory. Our Operations staff will post signs at the location of the swim advisory.
There are no lifeguards on duty at our beaches.
